Protect Your Family and Customers from Rodent-Borne Diseases
The history of rodent infestation is littered with widespread disease outbreak, most notably the Black Plague. While other parts of the world have seen a resurgence of variants of this deadly disease across Madagascar recently, it also is worth noting that rats and mice are currently capable of transmitting a wide variety of rodent-borne diseases domestically as well. To protect your family or customers this fall and limit the possibility of infestation, and therefore exposure, rodent control and prevention is critical.
Diseases that are spread by rodents can either be transmitted directly, through contact with the pest or its droppings and urine, or indirectly, through other vectors such as fleas or ticks. While there are many rodent-borne diseases that can be transmitted by mice or rats, transmission of some of these diseases is not likely in the United States.
