Leptospirosis – Drinking water that has been contaminated by rodents or having direct contact with the urine of infected rodents can put you at risk of contracting leptospirosis, however, it is extremely rare. This bacterial disease can often lead to kidney and liver damage if not treated with antibiotics quickly.
